Refund policy.

We take pride in delivering high-quality web design and development work. This policy explains when refunds are available, how cancellations are handled, and what happens if a project doesn't go as expected. Our goal is always to deliver work you are genuinely happy with — this policy exists to keep both sides protected when that doesn't happen.

1. Scope of this policy

This refund policy applies to all services purchased from Develop24h Ltd, including but not limited to website design and development, landing pages, SEO services, maintenance plans, and any bespoke engagements. By engaging us for a project, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

2. How our projects work

Before any work begins, we provide a written quote with a fixed price, a clear scope, and an estimated timeline. All projects follow a structured payment schedule:

  • 50% deposit — payable before work begins. This reserves your project slot and covers initial strategy, design and research work.
  • 50% final payment — payable upon project completion, before the final files or live launch are handed over.
  • Larger Bespoke projects — may use a 3-stage payment schedule (30% deposit, 40% midway, 30% on completion) agreed in writing before work begins.

3. Deposit refunds

The 50% deposit secures your place in our project schedule and covers the initial discovery, design and planning work we do before development begins. Because this work starts immediately, the deposit is generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

When a deposit IS refundable

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of paying the deposit and before any discovery or design work has been delivered, you receive a full refund
  • If we are unable to start your project within 14 days of receiving the deposit due to our own capacity issues, you receive a full refund
  • If we fail to deliver the agreed work within 60 days of the agreed start date (excluding delays caused by the client), you may request a refund of the deposit

When a deposit is NOT refundable

  • After discovery, strategy or design work has been delivered and accepted
  • If the client fails to provide required materials (content, images, access credentials) within a reasonable timeframe and the project stalls as a result
  • If the client changes their mind about the project scope after work has begun
  • If the client becomes unresponsive for more than 30 days without prior notice

4. Final payment refunds

The final payment covers completed development work and is due before we hand over the final files or launch your site live. Once the final payment has been made and the project delivered, refunds are generally not available — but we always aim to resolve any concerns before reaching that point.

If you are not satisfied with the delivered work, we will work with you in good faith to address reasonable concerns within the originally agreed scope. This is why every project includes revision rounds built into the workflow.

5. Revision rounds

Each project package includes a defined number of revision rounds to address feedback before launch:

  • Launch (£890) — up to 2 rounds of revisions
  • Scale (£2,400) — up to 3 rounds of revisions
  • Bespoke (£5,900+) — unlimited revisions within the original scope

Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are available at our standard hourly rate, agreed in writing before any extra work is performed. Substantial scope changes (adding new pages, new functionality, new content types) are treated as new work and quoted separately.

6. Cancellation by the client

You may cancel your project at any time by emailing support@develop24h.com. The refund available depends on the stage of the project at the point of cancellation:

  • Before work begins — full refund within 48 hours; after 48 hours, a cancellation fee may apply to cover scheduling and onboarding costs
  • During discovery and design phase — the deposit covers work already performed; no additional charges, no refund of deposit
  • During development phase — you pay for the work completed up to the date of cancellation, calculated as a proportion of the total project value; any amount already paid in excess will be refunded within 14 days
  • After project completion — no refund is available, but we will honour any warranty or bug-fix commitments in our contract

7. Cancellation by Develop24h

In rare cases we may need to cancel a project — for example if the client becomes unresponsive, if the scope changes beyond what we can reasonably deliver, or if there is a breakdown in communication. In these cases:

  • We will give the client written notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue
  • We will refund any payment made for work not yet delivered
  • The client retains ownership of all design and code work already delivered and paid for

8. Maintenance and care plans

Monthly maintenance and care plans may be cancelled at any time with 30 days' written notice. No partial refunds are given for the current billing month, but you will not be charged for the following month after cancellation.

9. How to request a refund

All refund requests must be made in writing to support@develop24h.com. Please include:

  • Your name and the project reference
  • The date the work was commissioned
  • A clear explanation of the reason for the refund request

We will respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days via the original payment method.

10. Chargebacks and disputes

If you have any concern about a payment or the work delivered, please contact us first at support@develop24h.com. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and quickly. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us directly may be treated as a breach of contract and could affect any future engagement.

11. Exceptions and goodwill

This policy sets out our general terms, but we approach every situation in good faith. If you have a genuine concern that falls outside the terms above, please reach out — we would rather resolve things fairly than follow the letter of a policy to the detriment of a real person.
